Sangeeta Kaushik – Currently Executive Director and heading the Corporate Planning Function in NTPC Limited, a leading power utility of India and Maharatna Enterprise and nominated as Executive Director of World Energy Council-India. Prior to this assignment was posted at Dhaka as MD of the first international venture of NTPC, Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Pvt Limited. A gold medalist electrical engineer from GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology with an experience of nearly 38 years in power industry. A home-grown engineer of NTPC having joined in 1986 as an Executive trainee immediately after graduation have worked in various functions of NTPC which include amongst others heading the Technical Services function of the largest power station of India i.e. Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power station and as head of the Business Development and Consultancy functions of the organisation. The experience includes a blend of design engineering, strategic planning, practical execution at site and resolution of the issues therein, a holistic perspective of the sector and business development & management. Shri Masood Akhtar Ansari, Executive Director (Finance) of NTPC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE engaged in the business of Power Generation, Power Trading, and Coal Mining.
Shri Masood A. Ansari joined NTPC as an Executive Trainee in 1990 and has more than 30 years of diverse experience in almost all aspects of Finance and Accounts which includes long-term resource mobilization from domestic and foreign lenders, Budgeting, Finance Concurrence, Investor Services, and Superannuation Trusts. He also has substantial exposure of working as Head of Finance at the Thermal Power Project, and Hydropower Project. Presently he is head of the Concurrence Function and Superannuation Trusts at the Corporate Centre, NTPC.
He joined the Board of HURL on 6th May 2024 as NTPC Nominee Director. In addition, he is serving as a part-time Director on the Board(s) of NTPC’s subsidiaries/ joint ventures namely NTECL, GVERL, and NESCL. He is appointed as Nominee Director NTPC on EESL Board w.e.f. 20.05.2024.
Mr. Rajiv Kumar Rohilla, Executive Director (Contract Services) at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (a Government of India Undertaking), is an Engineering Graduate from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and Masters in Business Administration from prestigious Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.
He has rich experience of over 30 years in Public Procurement. He, as POWERGRID’s officer under different capacities, has been associated with various Contracts Management functions including the ones funded by the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and other funding agencies. He has established credentials as International Procurement Consultant, wherein he was associated as consultant to POWERGRID Bangladesh with their First and Second Blocks, 500 MW Back to Back HVDC Projects of India – Bangladesh Power Exchange Programme under Asian Development Bank funding. As a change manager:
– He has effectively contributed towards POWERGRID’s implementation of e-Procurement and e-Reverse Auction. He has been associated with the design and development of POWERGRID’s own e-procurement system on SAP-SRM module, as a business expert; and
– Carried out the Systemic Improvements in the procurement policies and processes of POWERGRID’s JV Company Energy Efficiency Services Limited during his deputation there for about 16 months. He is Nominee Director PowerGrid on EESL Board w.e.f. 15.01.2024.
Smt. Valli Natarajan is B.E. (Technical) and MBA (Finance) and holding the position of Director in REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. She is also holding the position of Executive Director (Technical) in REC Limited and handling the Rooftop Solar vertical, which is a flagship programme of the Government of India. She is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, with Management degree in Finance and has a post qualification experience of over 34 years, most of which has been in REC, handling various portfolios, and has played a significant part in the phenomenal growth of REC over the last 2 decades. She has experience in handling Renewables financing portfolio, State Sector operations dealing with all state power utilities of the country, Subsidiary operations as well as the flagship programmes of Government of India viz. DDUGJY and RDSS. She is Nominee Director REC Limited on EESL Board w.e.f. 23.09.2024.
Shri Sandeep Kumar Jain (DIN: 09128784), ED (Finance), Powergrid has completed B.com from Delhi University in the year 1986. And also completed ICWA/ CMA in Cost Accounting from ICWAI in the year 1988. After completion of his study, he joined NTPC as Jr. Accountant (F&A) and worked for approximately 3 yrs. Thereafter, he was absorbed in POWERGRID as an Officer (Accounts) in the year 1991. He has a long and diverse experience of working in various facets of Finance & Accounts department. He is appointed as Nominee Director PGCIL on EESL Board w.e.f. 6th December 2024

Shri Vishal Kapoor is the Chief Executive Officer of EESL. He is a practicing Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK. He also holds a post graduate degree in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore; and has attended the advanced management program in Public Policy from Indian School of Business.
From his previous assignments in Indian Railways, he has rich experience of railway traction, freight cars, design and operations & maintenance. At MoP, he is looking after distribution sector, official languages and social media. He has been instrumental in formulating the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme for operational and financial turnaround of distribution utilities. Bringing with him a vast field experience and managing big manpower deployments, he is leveraging his professional-cum-policy background to contribute to the policy responses of Government, in order to bring improvements in the electricity distribution sector.
