Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram (DIN: 10347322) has taken charge as Director (Projects), NTPC on 1st December, 2023.
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram is a 1988 batch Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from Govt. College of Technology, Coimbatore with PGDM from MDI Gurgaon in the area of Strategy & Finance. Prior to joining as Director (Projects), NTPC Limited, he was ED to CMD, NTPC Limited.
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram joined NTPC Limited as Graduate Engineer Trainee officer in 1988 and has more than 35 years of diverse and versatile experience in Project as well as Commissioning stages of 110, 210, 500, 660 and 800 MW fleets, greenfield as well as brownfield, across various states in India. He also has experience of operating and maintaining vast fleet of power stations.
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram was actively involved for the development of 1st supercritical power project of NTPC at Sipat.
He has worked in various capacities at NTPC Darlipali Project.
He has exposure of working at Corporate Centre in Operation Services department wherein monitoring of Company’s functions is being carried out and strategic initiatives taken. During his tenure as Head of Project at NTPC Barauni (720 MW), a taken over Project from Bihar State Electricity Board, project commissioning was accomplished.
As Head of Project at Talcher Kaniha (3000 MW), he was influential in improving the performance of the station which has ensured CII-ITC Sustainability award and also construction of FGD.
He is a professional with Corporate and Site experience, people-oriented approach, knowledge and experience of the entire power sector and works towards speedy implementation of Projects. He is appointed as Nominee Director NTPC on EESL Board w.e.f. 20.05.2024.

Shri Dhiraj Kumar Srivastava

Dhiraj Kumar Srivastava , CPES, Qualification: B.E. Electrical Engineering 1993

Joined Central Power Engineering Services (CPES Cadre Group- A Officer) through UPSC in 1998 and served as Asst. Director in PSTI Bangalore; Asst. Executive Engineer-NERPC; Dy. Director in CEA, OSD in POWERGRID; Director, National Power Committee; Director, Transmission in Ministry of Power, Electrical Inspector to Govt. of India (Northern Region),

Presently posted as Chief Engineer, Energy Conservation and Energy Transition, Ministry of Power

Special Role performed in past:

· Implementation of Availability Based Tariff in various regions of the country during 2003-04

· Formulated the guidelines for accreditations of training institutes under Ring Fencing of Load Despatch Centre in year 2010,

· Amendments in grid connectivity regulation for Renewables, new regulation on connectivity of distributed generation resources in year 2013,

· CEA regulations on operation and maintenance of Sub-station/Lines, grid connectivity of RE Sources, Delhi islanding scheme and other islanding schemes like UP, Punjab etc., during year 2012 to year 2015-16.

· Nodal person for Grid Enquiry Committee ( historic grid failure of 30th and 31st July 2012), All grid security matters, inter regional operational and commercial issues,

· Member Secretary of Central level Task Force on study of power system under contingency for long term grid security measures.

· Amendment to Electric Supply safety Regulations, Construction of electric plant and lines regulations etc. Carried out safety audits of Thermal power plants in various parts of country – first time in country at central level comprehensive push

· Pushed grid strengthening of Renewables, facilitating record renewables capacity addition in the grid, standard bidding documents for transmission.

· Conceptualized and implemented National Mission on Biomass utilization in thermal power plant so as to reduce carbon footprint of power generation.

· Developed regulation on flexible operation of thermal power plants for RE Integrations.

He is appointed as Nominee Director Ministry of Power on EESL Board w.e.f. 26.06.2024.

Shri G. Ravisankar
Nominee director, PowerGrid

G Ravisankar (57 years), (DIN: 08816101) is a Mathematics Graduate from University of Madras and is a Cost Accountant from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has also done Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management from Annamalai University. An accomplished technocrat, he has post qualification experience of 32 years, serving predominantly in POWERGRID (after a brief stint in NLC India Limited) in Construction office, Sub-stations, Regional Headquarters and Corporate Centre located in various parts of India. He has vast experience in key finance functions viz. Resource Mobilisation, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Commercial, Works Accounting and Retiral Benefits Fund Management. He has played a pivotal role in digitization of finance functions, establishment of bill processing hubs and ERP implementation and Development.
He also led his team in Business Simulation Competitions and won laurels in National Management Games Championship, besides qualifying the Asian Championship to participate in the Global Management Contest representing India. He was appointed as Director (Finance) and CFO on PGCIL Board in September, 2022. He is appointed as Nominee Director PowerGrid on EESL Board w.e.f. 15.01.2024.

Shri Masood Akhtar Ansari
Nominee Director (NTPC Limited)

Shri Masood Akhtar Ansari, Executive Director (Finance) of NTPC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE engaged in the business of Power Generation, Power Trading, and Coal Mining.
Shri Masood A. Ansari joined NTPC as an Executive Trainee in 1990 and has more than 30 years of diverse experience in almost all aspects of Finance and Accounts which includes long-term resource mobilization from domestic and foreign lenders, Budgeting, Finance Concurrence, Investor Services, and Superannuation Trusts. He also has substantial exposure of working as Head of Finance at the Thermal Power Project, and Hydropower Project. Presently he is head of the Concurrence Function and Superannuation Trusts at the Corporate Centre, NTPC.
He joined the Board of HURL on 6th May 2024 as NTPC Nominee Director. In addition, he is serving as a part-time Director on the Board(s) of NTPC’s subsidiaries/ joint ventures namely NTECL, GVERL, and NESCL. He is appointed as Nominee Director NTPC on EESL Board w.e.f. 20.05.2024.

Shri Rajiv Kumar Rohilla
Nominee Director, PowerGrid

Mr. Rajiv Kumar Rohilla, Executive Director (Contract Services) at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (a Government of India Undertaking), is an Engineering Graduate from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and Masters in Business Administration from prestigious Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.
He has rich experience of over 30 years in Public Procurement. He, as POWERGRID’s officer under different capacities, has been associated with various Contracts Management functions including the ones funded by the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and other funding agencies. He has established credentials as International Procurement Consultant, wherein he was associated as consultant to POWERGRID Bangladesh with their First and Second Blocks, 500 MW Back to Back HVDC Projects of India – Bangladesh Power Exchange Programme under Asian Development Bank funding. As a change manager:
– He has effectively contributed towards POWERGRID’s implementation of e-Procurement and e-Reverse Auction. He has been associated with the design and development of POWERGRID’s own e-procurement system on SAP-SRM module, as a business expert; and
– Carried out the Systemic Improvements in the procurement policies and processes of POWERGRID’s JV Company Energy Efficiency Services Limited during his deputation there for about 16 months. He is Nominee Director PowerGrid on EESL Board w.e.f. 15.01.2024.

Smt. Valli Natarajan
Nominee Director, REC Limited

Smt. Valli Natarajan is B.E. (Technical) and MBA (Finance) and holding the position of Director in REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. She is also holding the position of Executive Director (Technical) in REC Limited and handling the Rooftop Solar vertical, which is a flagship programme of the Government of India. She is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, with Management degree in Finance and has a post qualification experience of over 34 years, most of which has been in REC, handling various portfolios, and has played a significant part in the phenomenal growth of REC over the last 2 decades. She has experience in handling Renewables financing portfolio, State Sector operations dealing with all state power utilities of the country, Subsidiary operations as well as the flagship programmes of Government of India viz. DDUGJY and RDSS. She is Nominee Director REC Limited on EESL Board w.e.f. 23.09.2024.
