Practitioner’s Guide for Deployment of Public Charging Stations

In 2018, EESL partnered with the USAID's Smart Power for Advancing Reliability and Connectivity (SPARC) Program to develop and implement a scalable business model for public charging stations (PCS) for Electric Vehicles (EVs). EESL, with the technical support of the USAID SPARC Program, has completed the first-of-its-kind large-scale PCS deployment in New Delhi. As of February 2020, more than 70 PCS have been installed.. The learnings from the initial installations have been captured in a report (Practitioner’s Guide for Deployment of Public Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles). This guidebook provides key insights on issues such as business model, cost economics, location assessment, user interface, etc. that can be leveraged by other stakeholders.
